Chartered in 1970 by a group of Millbrae citizens, the Millbrae Historical Society has been dedicated to enriching and preserving Millbrae’s rich history and artifacts. Please see our web page and come visit the Millbrae Historical Society Museum and Train Station. Our Museum is located across from the Millbrae Public Library and is open on Saturday, from 12:00 to 04:00 PM. Our railroad museum is located just south of the Millbrae Bart station and is open from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM. Our museum building was built in 1898, to house the Spring Valley Water Company (now the San Francisco Water Company) foreman. Our Museum was moved to its current location by the City of Millbrae and the Millbrae Historical Society. Our Railroad Museum was built in 1907, by the Southern Pacific Railroad. We also have a 1941, Pullman railroad sleeping car at our museum. So come on down to “Our Place in the Sun” and enjoy a day in Millbrae and at our local museums.
